Norgard-Wisconsin Dells Wedding-June 2, 2017

This wedding was like no other. I have photographed weddings on boats, but not in the Dells with so much beauty, attention to details, and the couple woven through every single moment.

Dane and Lindsey met when they started working together on the Dells Boat Tours. They formed a friendship which grew to love, all on the river. These two love the Dells just short of how much they love each other. Between working together, kayaking, and hiking, they spent a great deal of time in the beauty of the bluffs and river. So of course there wasn’t a more perfect spot for Dane to propose to Lindsey and then when it came to deciding where to have their wedding, there was no question.

Lindsey and her girls got ready in their apartment, which from the balcony you can see the dock where the Clipper Winnebago awaited for the fun ahead. As the hustle and bustle of everything was going on around her, Lindsey was her usual cool, calm, and collected self. As guests boarded the boat, the girls made their way down to the dock. Everyone got to enjoy the cruise that Dane and Lindsey had taken so many times, and it was not secret as to why they love the view so much. The ceremony took place as the cruise continued and it was full of laughter and a few tears. Dane and Lindsey wrote vows to each other and both had the line, “Let’s get married already!” in them, proving how in sync they are. They incorporated nautical items throughout the entire day, from Lindsey's bracelet, to their fisherman's knot tying, to decor.

Guests were then dropped off at the dock for Cold Water Canyon and made their way to the reception. Wedding party and the happy couple continued on to Witches Gulch and Stand Rock for some one of a kind photos and memories. Once back at the reception, there were many more laughs, tears, and memories made throughout the evening (including Dane's dad being his best man)! It was such an honor to photograph this wedding for my dear friend and to see her so incredibly happy. I have no doubt that Dane and Lindsey will be able to get through everything they are faced together in their many happy years to come!
